In an effort to introduce the community to our members, we will periodically spotlight a different member. It is our privilege to introduce Aaron Donaldson.
Aaron Donaldson joined the SLVFD in 2007 and is currently a full-time driver with the Department. His rich background in fire and rescue training make him highly qualified to support the efforts of the SLVFD during the many fire and rescue calls we respond to every month.
Aaron is a graduate of the Utica Fire Academy. He received his professional Fire Fighter's Certification in November 2008 which included, Fire Fighter I & II (National Certification) and courses that focused on search and rescue training, vehicle extrication, emergency vehicle operation, aerial devices, hazardous materials, incident command systems, and wild land fire suppression. He passed the Candidate Physical Ability Test, and is also a NYS Emergency Medical Technician.
Aaron, attained the rank of Eagle Scout, graduated from Northwood School in Lake Placid and attended North Country Community College in Saranac Lake. Aaron has also worked for the Saranac Lake Police Department as a "Parking Enfrocement Officer", the Saranac Lake DPW, and the Harrietstown Housing Authority.
