SLVFD honors the fallen on Memorial Day

Memorial day is a solemn time for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is our honor and privilege to spend time participating in this annual tradition here in Saranac Lake where we are fortunate to enjoy our many freedoms because so many gave so much.

At the SLVFD we began the week on Tuesday when SLVFD members went to local cemeteries to decorate the graves of deceased SLVFD members who passed before us.

Today we marched proudly with our community to Riverside Park for the annual Saranac lake Memorial Day Services.

We are happy all had a great weekend, we hope all took a moment to remember the reason for the holiday.
