SLVFD: Fun at Winter Carnival

We at the SLVFD had fun during this years Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. We certainly hope all of our residents and visitors had a great time.

Enjoy some photos of your SLVFD during Winter Carnival. For us the influx of so many visitors creates the need for some preparation to keep so many people safe, however we love being part of the festivities as well.

For us, Winter Carnival starts on the very first day by providing an "Honor Guard" at coronation. We provide a response crew during the fireworks displays, we host the annual firefighters broom-ball tournament, and we participate in the Gala Parade, tasked not only with response duties during the parade, but we also have the task of escorting the Carnival's mascot "Snowy Owl"

Our community is very special and we loving participating in these events.
