She's finally here, after a long wait, Smokey 7 travelled today from East Granby Connecticut to Saranac Lake. Smokey will serve her first official active tour of duty tomorrow morning.

A special thank you to breeder Phillip Martin of Alpha N Omega Dalmatians. A later posting on Smokey's page will describe the lineage, but the last several SLVFD Smokeys are descendants of the same blood line.

This morning at approximately 6:00am Chief Micheal Knapp, Head Fire Driver Rick Yorkey and Angie Yorkey travelled in SLVFD's Misc. 349 to pick up Smokey 7 who arrived back at the SLVFD at approximately 3:00pm this afternoon.

Smokey is adjusting fine to her new environment and we look forward to her settling in and her first public appearances.
